Nkonka Safaris is now represented by US Agents Mary & Michael Sampson. We lived and worked in South Africa from 1997 - 2001. Living outside the Durban area in the rural towns of Bothas Hill and Alverstone. Michael was part of an ex-pat group working at the Engen Refinery located in Durban. Mary was a stay at home mom raising our four sons. We toured and hunted many areas of South Africa. During our times there we developed many long lasting friendships, including David Aadnesgaard a South African Professional Hunter, Safari Outfitter and second generation family owner of the Naauwpoort farm, a 3000ha cattle / game farm located in a valley on the banks of the Umkomaas River. David grew up and resides on the farm. He has concessions on adjacent farms and can set up hunts for animals not native to the valley. The farm offers additional activities including fishing, horseback riding, 4 x 4 trails and rafting. Naauwpoort farm is located in the Kwazulu-Natal province which holds many attractions of its own. Including photo safaris, golf, game viewing, fine dining, casinos, ocean swimming and diving plus many attractions draw international tourists to KwaZulu-Natal. Africa offers many different types of hunting opportunities and a variety of hunting methods: blinds, spot and stalk, ride and shoot, walk and still hunting. Bow and rifle hunts are available here. As with all free range hunting, not all animals are always found when hunting. However Naauwpoort offers many species and chance encounters. This area is renowned for Bushbuck and Nyala.
